At the beginning of every school year, Grade 7 students have always been among the top borrowers. They regularly visit the LRC during their breaks and they are also very participative in the book selection process through submission of book requests. It is no surprise that at the end of the First Quarter of S.Y. 2016-2017, our top borrower comes from this grade level – Nathan Thomas Tiu Cuazon.
This twelve – year old reader usually reads in the car on his way home. His favorite book is Attack on Titan by Hajime Isayama which the HS LRC has.
His borrowed books totaled to seventy-four book titles. On top of all the academic requirements and other school matters, our featured reader still finds time to read and savor the joy of reading. In addition to the bags and stuff that he usually brings in school, he has a separate sling bag for carrying LRC books.
He loves to eat pizza and enjoys Mathematics. He is most happy when doing stuff like reading or playing with iPad. He values going to school and be with his best buddy Diego Ilagan although wishes to have more friends. He hopes that people can appreciate books more. When asked what he prays about, his answer was “for a cleaner and more peaceful world”.
