What’s New : Meeting the Librarians

Resume PicMr. Dennis Marco T. Guilles started working in Xavier School on May 02, 2016.  Prior to joining Xavier School, he worked as an academic librarian in Antipolo City while supervising college students.  He is currently finishing his Master’s degree at the School of Library and Information Studies in the University of the Philippines Diliman, where he also earned his Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science.  As a Librarian in Xavier School, he is in-charge of the development of the Senior High School collection which includes Standard and IB Programs. He also conducts library instructions with regard to LRC programs, services and resources. His hobbies include playing basketball, table tennis and running.  His favorite quote is from Aristotle:  “The more you know, the more you know you don’t know.”

Joan CerveraMeet Ms. Joan A. Cervera,  a graduate of Bachelor in Library and Information Science from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines last April 2016. In college, she developed the passion to serve and reach out to others by participating in feeding programs, blood-letting  and other related activities. As a Library Assistant, she is tasked to help develop, circulate and promote the use LRC resources and services. She loves to read and enjoys mountain climbing during her free time. Her goal is to provide a comfortable life for her family and loved ones. And finally, she hopes to achieve her dream of becoming a professional librarian and to climb every mountain in the Philippines.
